the book so far "Brave New World"
Well we are about three fourths of the way finished with "Brave New World" and so far it's been one of the most difficult books ive had to read. Its defiantly got am interesting plot. The book is based in the future were people have to take a pill called soma to stay happy. Everybody is born in a factory and made to think a certain way. Family's no longer exist, people deny there emotions, sounds a lot like our reality. In real life family's are torn apart by divorce, people are depressed so they take substances to ease those emotions. This book deffiently relates to real life. Im glad we are almost done.

2/18/15 sub work
Yesterday while we had a sub i did do some work. First I did my journal topic which didn't take that long. After that, I pretty much just focused on finishing the book since we will probably be having a quiz and possibly an essay. I think about half the class was working on some type of work. I did make some progress in the book and am near finishing it.
Chapter14 The Catcher in the rye
Chapter 14
In this chapter Holden talks about some of his religious views how he has gotten in some serious arguments about it. However, all of a sudden there is a knock at the door. Unfortunately its the prostitute and her pimp and they weren't happy. They decide they wanted to steal another five dollars and pressure Holden. Holden tries to act hard but just lets the guy push him around. they steal the five dollars as Holden lays on the floor crying. i think you can really tell in this chapter that he is kinda a coward. He just accepts the situation and dosent fight back. I dont think he has much respect and confidence in himself.

ch 6 review "the catcher in the rye"
After reading chapter 6 of "The Catcher In The Rye" I found it to be moderitly interesting. Yhis chapter seemed to focus on a conversation between Holden and Stradlater. Holden seemed to be jealous of Stradlater because of the date he went on. Holden seems to defiently had feelings for this girl. Holden pressures stradlater and eventually tries to fight him which ends up with him getting a bloody nose. I think in this chapter we got to see Holden's real emotions come out which makes this chapter more interesting. We also got to learn about the way he feels about his deceased brother.

ALL THAT DAVID COPPERFIELD KIND OF CRAP
After reading chapter 1 and 2 of the story I noticed some interesting factors. I felt the main character was kind of rude and distant. It seemed he was constantly complaining about something. I feel like the main character looks like he has everything planned out but secretly he dosent really know what to do. I feel like the author helped the reader relate to the main character because he just said what he had to in order to end the conversation with the teacher which is something everybody can relate too. So far this has been a strange but interesting book.

next steps assignment
My topic is to be a high end automotive mechanic. I am interested in this because I just really like cars and want to learn more about them.I think by learning about this topic it could value my life by giving me knowledge and a career in life. I also think it would be cool to work with unique or rare cars that some people wouldn't be able to work withor even possibly see. It could also help the community because this could be used to serve the public. There are some resources I would need to have in order to achieve this topic. These include being adequate at math, willing to learn, and possibly access to tools. I dont have anyone specific I want to meet but I would be cool to have an expert teach me some tips. My plan for learning about this topic would be taking a few classes involving cars at college and then trying to progress myself forward into high end branch auto services.I cant say whether I will be posting my progress on a social media or not. However, this is my plan of right now but there is a chance that this will change. If I become less interested in the topic or decide to pursue another then things will obviously change.

assignment 1/15/15
In that post, answer this question: Can we consider music to be literature? How do we define literature? What is the difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony?
Music can defiantly be considered to be literature. Alot of meaning and thought goes into music just as they are put into books. Literature is considered to be written works. There isn't much of a difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony. They can all be non-fiction or fiction. They all can consist of real life experiences such as problems, happiness, ect. However the differences can be the difference between hearing and reading. I think when you hear something it can be more dramatic and make you feel a little closer to the theme.
